Our Story

Beyond Basketball was founded by two teammates at Washington University in St. Louis with an aspiration to connect college basketball players, home for the summer, with middle school and high school athletes looking to improve their game. Building better players and brighter futures is not just a saying, Beyond Basketball strives to empower the next generation of college basketball players while also working to support the next generation of students to reach their academic goals.

Our Focus

Building better athletes

Our skills clinics are taught by an amazing team of collegiate athletes who have been coached by some of the best in game and have a heightened understanding of what it takes to succeed as an athlete. Through small group skill work and personal coaching we impart this knowledge to up and coming basketball players to have better success on the court. Our trainers focus on building well rounded basketball players by focusing on fundamentals and core skills needed to succeed at the middle school and high school level.

Building better students

At Beyond Basketball we are also focused on building better students. In each skill session, our coaches share what they have learned about what it takes to excel at high level high schools and universities. Our trainers provide tips and techniques on balancing school and athletics, navigating course load, and time management skills.

Building better futures

The money raised from our training sessions will directly fund the SMART Program's initiatives to place low income, first generation students in the Bay Area in 4-year college programs. 100% of SMART Scholars graduate high school and 65% of SMART scholars graduate from 4-year colleges.
